What is your experience in the Facility Maintenance space?

Over the years, I have actively engaged in multiple sectors related to facility maintenance and have acquired in-depth knowledge and practical experience in this field. I have managed and overseen facility maintenance operations for various organizations, including commercial buildings, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and manufacturing plants. My responsibilities have covered a wide range of activities, such as:

1. Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs: I have designed and executed comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the smooth functioning of equipment, systems, and facilities. This includes conducting regular inspections, scheduling maintenance activities, and coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

2. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations: I thoroughly understand safety protocols and regulations related to facility maintenance. I have worked closely with regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to standards, conduct safety audits, and implement necessary improvements to mitigate risks.

3. Vendor management: I have extensive experience evaluating and selecting external vendors and contractors and managing ongoing relationships. This includes monitoring performance and ensuring the delivery of high-quality maintenance services.

4. Budgeting and cost control: I have been responsible for developing and managing facility maintenance budgets, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.

Throughout my career, I have tried to consistently remain updated on the latest advancements and best practices in facility maintenance. How long in the industry?

With over 20 years of dedicated service industry experience, my journey began in 1995. I started my career in operations and customer service at Pizza Hut. Over the years, I expanded my horizons, delving into team management, operations, and quality assurance roles. This diverse experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of the industry, allowing me to navigate complex challenges and deliver exceptional results. I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to learn and grow, and I continue to bring my passion and expertise to every endeavor.

Have you owned a cleaning company or have experience there?

Over the past two decades, I have been fortunate enough to own a couple of janitorial companies, and I continue to manage and grow my current venture. In each of these journeys, I have encountered various operational and managerial challenges along the way and continue to find new ones every day, the learning never ends, but I have learned to navigate through them, for me personally; when I look back, these challenges are what make this industry enjoyable.
